Dollywood Grows With New Wildwood Grove For 2019
Dollywood is growing. Wildwood Grove is a new addition to Dollywood Theme Park in Pigeon Forge. Dolly Parton was at Celebrity Theatre in Dollywood today to announce the news. The new expansion cost $37 million. There will be 11 new theme park experiences and the addition will be a family fun experience. Wildwood Grove is a forest inspired area with rides that offer tree and woodland theme excitement.

Included are a suspended roller coaster names ‘The Dragonflier’; the ‘Sycamore Swing’ is a ride that visitors sit in and swing back and forth like an autumn leaf falling from a huge sycamore tree; the ‘Treetop Tower’ is a ride inside a giant acorn that will spin around the top of the “tall oak tree” 40 feet in the air; the Larson Flying Scooter ride will fly around a “tall tree” in a high-speed circle like a bird. Other new attractions announced are ‘Frogs and Firelies’ , ‘Hidden Hollow’ ‘Wildwood Creek oasis, and a new restaurant in Wildwood Grove.
The new section of the park will be located next to ‘Timber Canyon’. In all the new area of Wildwood Grove in the theme park will feature 11 new woodland themed attractions. The best part of the new area will be the Wildwood Tree. This magical 55ft tall tree will feature butterflies. At night the giant tree will come to life as part of a unique nighttime show for all to enjoy.
