Upcoming Events In The Park
The Great Smoky Mountains National Park offers a variety of events throughout the park at various locations. Upcoming events in the park for the next few weeks are full of fun. Many have to do with the fall foliage season. Listed here are just some of the events that are coming up in late September and for October.
Visitors can take a hike with a park ranger to learn about how to predict how much snow may be in the forecast, how mild or harsh a winter and other tell-tale signs. Learn about the wild creatures in the Great Smoky Mountains from a ranger. Go along for an easy walk and learn some history about the park. Learn about how life was like in the Appalachian mountains by visiting the Mountain Farm Museum with a park ranger. Enjoy a hayride. On the night of a full moon talk a hike in Cades Cove. With so much to do it is no wonder the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is one of the most visited parks in the nation. The next few week in the park will be one of the most colorful and prettiest season in the park. The fall foliage season with the changing of the color of the leaves in the park is a favorite time or year for many. A trip to the Great Smoky Mountains in late September and especially during mid October when the colors are near or at peak is a special time. People from all over visit during this time of year.
